Y2K Solution

LOGIC offers a complete Year 2000 solution or partial solution depending on the needs of each customer. The complete solution includes impact analysis, conversion, testing and implementation. A partial solution could be any part of the complete solution.

Impact Analysis
To perform the Site Readiness Study to identify the application modifications required to accommodate the year 2000. To evaluate application interfaces and dependencies that may affect the conversion effort. TRACER 2000™ from LOGIC's partner, Traceware Corporation, is used in this phase.

Analysis phase is critical to the conversion's success because of the vast amount of the code involved and the tedious nature of the tasks. The TRACER 2000™ facilitates these phases of the conversion.

It allows you to analyze source code in any language, from any platform. It uses several essential built-in features: user customizable pattern and filter scanning, variable propagation with drill-down, status tracking by entity and file, and reporting; while giving you the ability to segment large applications into smaller, more manageable components.

TRACER 2000™ allows critical viewing of date-related entities and easy navigation through source code. Furthermore, it's language independent so that you can easily transfer knowledge gained from one environment to another.

It also has flexible reporting options, including on-screen output, and scan results may be saved in the TRACER 2000™ database and in a variety of other file formats.

Conversion
To define the maintenance methodology for the Year 2000 conversion and perform the Year 2000 conversion.

Year 2000 Audit
If the conversion work is done by customers or customers' vendors, LOGIC can perform audits on the Year 2000 conversion work. The audits include checklists and if necessary, LOGIC develops audit programs to verify the Year 2000 compliance on customer's applications.

Year 2000 Compliance Testing
To work with customers to perform Year 2000 Compliant Tests on applications after customer's vendors/LOGIC have completed their Year 2000 conversion work. The tests include the User Acceptance Testing for customer.

LOGIC can provide this service with or without automated software testing tool. LOGIC consultants have extensive skills and experiences in the following key processes areas for each test phase such as unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, etc.:

The test plans and scripts created by LOGIC can be reusable in future projects.

Implementation
To assist customer in implementing the Year 2000 compliant applications into production environment.
